Introductions

In 2010, Latisha Frazier was 18 years old, raising a daughter and working full time at a local McDonald’s in the Washington D.C. area. Her friend group was led by a 17-year-old named Johnnie Sweet and included Brian Gaether (aged 23), Cinthya Proctor (aged 19), Laurence Kamal Hassan (aged 22), Anneka Nelson (aged 16), and Lanee Bell (aged 17). Did a miscommunication over $900 end in Latisha suffering a brutal murder at the hands of these so-called “friends”?

The Crime

On August 2nd, 2010 Latisha worked her shift at McDonald’s but never made it home. Her family officially reported her missing. Five months later and there was still no sign of Latisha or any indication if she was dead or alive. The truth picked up momentum in January 2011when a someone came forward and pointed the “finger” was pointed at Johnnie Sweet.

The investigators began “digging” into Sweet’s life including the infamous friend group of Latisha Frazier; Brian, Cinthya, Laurence, Anneka, and Lanee. Once the investigators started questioning the group, they all turned on each other and “sang like birds”. Each person in the group shared the same story and…
