Introduction
Sandra and Jon Garner were a madly in love married couple from Maypearl, Texas. Sandra was 13 years older than Jon and this would be her third marriage and his first. Sandra also brought two children to the marriage.
On January 2nd, 2018, Jon was murdered and the town of Maypearl was never the same.
The Murder
On January 2nd, Sandra Garner called the local police department and told them her husband was shot. The police rushed to their house and found a panic-stricken Sandra walking aimlessly around the house. She showed the police her husband’s body and claimed an intruder killed him. Her story was that an intruder shot her husband, forced her to empty $18,000 dollars from their safe, threatened her, and then told her to hide while he ran away. He did all of this while ranting about previously working for Jon at DHL and that it didn’t end well for him. Immediately the police found this story suspicious and began questioning her story and why the intruder didn’t just kill her to eliminate any witnesses.
